I was with Captain Michaud last year in Djibouti when we were accidentally bombed by an Air Force B-52 with nine Mk117 750 pound bombs. Despite the best efforts of all of us on the hill that day, the medical staff of Camp Lemonier, and the French Medical Team at their triage center, Captain Michaud passed away. He fought for his life for an hour before we were medevac'd off the hill and then for awhile longer on the way to the hospital.
