This page states the "General Rules and Regulations" for Contests, Sweepstakes, and Giveaways (collectively herein referred to as "Contest").
PARTIES TO THE GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS AGREEMENT:
Visitors, viewers, users, subscribers, members, affiliates, or customers who participate in any Contest, collectively referred to herein as "Participants", are parties to this agreement. The Participant that wins a prize, herein referred to as "Winner" is a party to this agreement. The web site and its owners, affiliates, and/or operators are parties to this agreement, herein referred to as "Sponsor."
By participating in any Contest you agree to Sponsor's Terms of Service, Disclaimer, Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy, and the following:
OFFICIAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
No purchase is necessary to enter or win. Making a purchase will not increase your chance/odds of winning.
Eligibility
Contest and Giveaways are open to legal residents of the United States 18 years of age or older who reside within the United States or are Military stationed abroad with an APO/FPO mailing address and who are of legal age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence. Void where prohibited.
Employees (and their respective family members: spouses, children, siblings, in–laws) of Sponsor and its affiliates, officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, and service agencies [or independent contractors] are ineligible to participate or win prizes.
You must be a current "fan" (Like) on our Facebook page in order to participate.
Limit one entry per person unless otherwise stated.
Winner must not have won either of the last two (2) contests/giveaways within the last 6 months. If a winner has won one of the previous 2 contests/giveaways that is within a 6 month period (6 months prior to the current contest start date), the Winner will be deemed ineligible and a new Winner will be chosen.
Only complete entry forms are eligible. In case of dispute as to identity of an online entrant, entry will be declared made by the authorized account holder of the E–mail address used to enter the Contest at the time of entry. "Authorized Account Holder" is defined as the natural person who opened or was assigned an E–mail address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational, institution, etc.) responsible for assigning E–mail addresses or the domain associated with the submitted E–mail address. Any other attempted form of entry is prohibited; automatic, programmed, robotic or similar means of entry are not permitted.
Winner(s) may be required to produce proof of identity, address and birth date, as well as sign an affidavit of eligibility, tax acknowledgment form, liability release, acceptance form, and, except where prohibited by law, use of name and likeness releases in order to claim the prize(s). Such documents must be completed in full and returned within five (7) days of notification of winning, either via facsimile or US registered mail. Failure to do so or if: (i) any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, (ii) a Winner declines his or her prize, or (iii) a potential Winner is determined to be ineligible for reason, will result in disqualification of such Winner and an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing at the Sponsors' sole discretion. Sponsor will use reasonable efforts to pick an alternate winner but in the event an alternate winner cannot be determined, the prize will not be awarded.
Sponsor expressly disclaims any responsibility and Participants agree to hold Sponsor and their owners/employee's harmless for liability for injury or loss to any person or property (including death) relating to participation in this Contest, the delivery and/or subsequent use or misuse of any of the prize awarded and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy.
Timing
Contests begin at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“EST”) on the date advertised and ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on the date advertised. (the “Entry Period”). Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Contest.
To Enter
Entry into the Contest will be determined by the Contest Type (described in the Contest Type section) and the type of contest will be listed in the Latest Contest section below.
Drawing
The drawing will consist of all eligible entries received (see Section "To Enter", above). The drawing will be conducted by Sponsor immediately following the Contest. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received for the drawing. Sponsor's decisions will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest in whole or in part for any reason in its sole discretion including, without limitation, to change the Contest rules or prizes in any jurisdiction or if causes beyond its control corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the Contest. In such case, Sponsor will select the Winner from all eligible entries received prior to and/or after (if appropriate) the action taken by Sponsor. By entering Contest, Participants agree to be bound by these official rules and regulations and the decisions of the Sponsor.
Prize
Prizes will vary and will be specified in the "Latest Contest" section below. The prize awarded in connection with the Contest is nontransferable and non–endorsable. No prize substitutions allowed, except at Sponsor's sole discretion in the event of prize unavailability for any reason, and then only for a prize of equal or greater value. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply.
Notification
Winner will be notified via email and will have 48 hours to respond. If no response is received, Sponsor reserves the right to either choose the 2nd place winner, draw another name at random from the active members list, or hold the prize for another upcoming contest or drawing.
Publicity
By entering this Contest, Participants grant Sponsor the right, unless prohibited by law, to use their names, voices, pictures and likenesses, without compensation, for the purpose of advertising and publicizing the services of Sponsor and all matters related to the Contest in any medium, throughout the world in perpetuity.
Terms & Conditions
All taxes are the sole responsibility of the Winner accepting the prize. The acceptance form with the value amount of the prize will be issued to the Winner. Participation in Contest and acceptance of prize constitutes Winner's permission to use his/her name, address (city and state only), likeness and any statements made by Winner and/or company regarding the Contest or Sponsor for advertising and promotional purposes without additional compensation, except where prohibited by law. By acceptance and use of prize, Winner agrees to hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor and its parent organization, affiliates, officers, directors, agents, employees, subsidiaries and service agencies [or independent contractors] against any and all liability, damages or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of Participant's participation in the Contest, or the receipt or use/misuse of the prizes awarded herein. These parties, their respective affiliates and subsidiaries, advertising/promotional agencies, and each of their directors, officers, employees, agents, successors and assigns have no liability or responsibility for any personal injuries, losses or damages or claims of any kind resulting from participation in the Contest, acceptance, possession or use/misuse of any prize. Participants who do not comply with the Official Rules and Regulations or attempt to interfere with this Contest in any way shall be disqualified.
Sponsor further assumes no liability either for the cancellation, modification or premature conclusion of the Contest for any reason or through the acts or defaults of any company or person providing any prize. All such losses or expenses must be borne by the affected Participants and/or Winner.
Sponsor, it's affiliates, owners, and its promotion and advertising agencies are not responsible for lost, late, damaged, incomplete, illegible, misdirected or postage due entries/mail or for technical errors of any kind including computer/information network failures, hardware, software, telephone or other communications malfunctions of any nature, errors or failures of any kind, lost or unavailable telephone or network connections, Web site, Internet, or ISP availability, unauthorized human intervention, traffic congestion, incomplete or inaccurate capture of entry information (regardless of cause) or failed, incomplete, garbled, jumbled or delayed computer transmissions which may limit a participant's ability to take part in the Contest. All entries become the sole property of Sponsor and it's owners and will not be acknowledged or returned.
Sponsor reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds, in its sole discretion, to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Web site. For details regarding collection of information from users of the Web site (including entrants), please consult the privacy policy on the Web site. Additionally, Sponsor reserves the right to prosecute any fraudulent activities to the full extent of the law.
The laws of the State of Maryland shall govern this Contest. Sponsor and Participants agree and do hereby consent to jurisdiction of any court of the State of Maryland which has statewide jurisdiction with respect to any proceeding arising out of or relating to this Contest or its subject matter, and further agree that the mailing by registered mail of any process to the last known address of either party shall constitute lawful and valid service of process thereof. In the event any such suit is filed in any state or federal court in the State of Maryland, Sponsor and Participants shall not raise and hereby waive the defenses of lack of personal jurisdiction or venue. In the event that such process requires an answer or response thereto, the time in which Sponsor and Participants must file and serve such answer or response shall be computed from the day of its or her receipt of such process.
The Participant selected as the Winner must comply with all terms and conditions of these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements. If a potential Winner does not reply to Sponsor’s email within two (2) days of the first attempt to contact him/her, or if a potential Winner fails to return the Affidavit/Release within the specified time, or if any prize or prize notification is returned as undeliverable, or if a potential winner is found to be ineligible, or if a potential winner does not comply with the Official Rules, then the potential winner may be disqualified and an alternate winner selected by Sponsor or its designee in his/her place based on the selection criteria described above by Sponsor for the Contest. In such event, an alternate potential prize winner will be notified as described above and will be required to return the required documents to Sponsor as described above.
Data Collection
Sponsor collects personal information from you when you enter the Contest. This information is used to contact you in the even that you win and also places your on our postal and email list. The information collected is subject to the Sponsor Privacy Policy, located at http://www.household6designs.com/legal/privacypolicy.html
If you are found to not have complied with any of the above rules or regulations, Privacy Policy, Copyright Policy, or Terms of Service, you agree to forfeit your prize.
DISCLOSURES
This Contest is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to Sponsor and not to Facebook. The information you provide will only be used in the manner as described above.
CONTEST TYPES
Portal Referral - In order to participate in a portal referral giveaway you will need to submit the submission form on our Facebook fan page which shows you will be participating and be a registered user within our portal with a current account. A current account is defined as one that has been activated by clicking the link within the activation email that is sent upon registration and your account MUST not be banned or bouncing.
You will refer people to our portal using your personal referral link which can be found in your control panel. You can get to your control panel by clicking Settings within the portal.
Referrals are defined as a person whom lists you as a referrer upon registration (this is done automatically when using your personal referral link) and who has activated their account by clicking the link within the activation email that is sent upon registration. Users who never confirm their account, have bouncing emails, or are banned will not be counted.
The person with the most referrals during the contest run date wins. In the event of a tie a name will be randomly drawn in order to determine the winner.

Newsletter Drawing - A random name will be chosen from active (non-bouncing) Military Life Network (our parent company) newsletter subscribers. If you would like to subscribe to our monthly newsletter you may do so here.
Vote Referral - You will refer people to the contest tab on our Facebook page and have them vote for you by selecting your name and clicking vote. Only 1 vote per IP address allowed per entrant. Votes from the same IP address will be deemed invalid. The one with the most votes at the end of the contest wins.
